Chiropractic care offers complimentary healthcare treatment for acute to chronic conditions by focusing on the relationship between the spine, muscles, the nervous system receptors and other soft tissues.

Many of our patients prefer to manage their spinal, back or neck problems with chiropractic care as it allows them to:

  • Manage pain without medication or surgery,
  • Have alternate options for spinal, back and neck pain,
  • Manage their pain cost effectively, and
  • Minimise the likelihood of further injury.

Our highly skilled chiropractors assess each patient and their symptoms to provide the most suitable method of treatment, including the use of hands-on spinal manipulations and other therapies to safely and efficiently help manage spinal, back and neck pain.

Sports injuries are sustained in a myriad of ways generally in the form of soft tissue injuries, such as muscles, ligaments, tendons, joints, nerves and connective tissue.

Through the use of physical therapy and massage, we can restore the natural balance of your body and help you return to training, ready to perform at peak level.

Benefits of regular chiropractic care include:

  • Preventing future cases of injury
  • Improves the biomechanics of the body to enhance performance, and
  • Recover from injuries faster due to holistic care

Whether you are an elite or casual sportsperson, regular chiropractic sessions should be an essential part of your health lifestyle.

Temporomandibular joint disorders

Chiropractic techniques that work well on the spine can also be applied to other joints of the body, including the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) which is the ‘hinge’ connecting your jaw to the temporal bones of your skull on each side of your ears.

TMJ disorders include a range of conditions affecting the TM joints, jaw muscles and facial nerves, causing symptoms such as:

  • Pain in or around the ear
  • Headaches and neck aches
  • Tenderness of the jaw or jaw muscles
  • Pain or soreness in the jaw that is more profound in the morning or late afternoon
  • Jaw pain when chewing, biting or yawning
  • Difficulty opening and closing mouth
  • Click or popping noises when opening the mouth

Chiropractic treatment for TMJ disorders applies massage, trigger point therapy, exercise prescription and activity modification to ease the pain, relieve tension in the muscles around the joints, either when used alone or in conjunction with other treatments.

Dramatic changes occur in the spine over time and it is important for maturing or elderly people to address these issues with experienced and well-trained chiropractic professionals.

Many of our senior patients are initially concerned that chiropractic adjustments will cause them more pain rather then relief from their existing problems. However, with the right chiropractic care there are many outstanding benefits that are possible, including:

  • Pain relief without medication
  • Increased range of movement
  • Improved balance and coordination
  • Reduced joint and muscle degeneration

There is no need for you to suffer in silence, our chiropractors will work with you in a comfortable environment to help address your concerns and return you to an active lifestyle.
